What is possible, what is not, and why.
There is no support desk here in the sense you are used to. Understanding why explains everything about what can and cannot be undone.
No email, no phone, no document, no billing name. That absence is the product rather than an oversight, and its direct consequence is that no human on the other side is able to confirm you are the account holder even if they wanted to. Proof of ownership has to be something only you hold.
That is the proof. It is shown once, it is not stored anywhere you can retrieve it from, and it is the entire recovery mechanism. Writing it on paper before continuing takes thirty seconds and is the difference between a forgotten password being an annoyance and being terminal.
Any process that let staff restore an account without the phrase would work equally well for somebody impersonating you, and impersonation is cheap when nobody knows what you look like. A market with that mechanism loses accounts continuously. The absence of a back door is a feature you are relying on even when it is inconvenient.
Enabling it with a key you cannot actually decrypt with locks you out permanently for the same reason. Test the decryption once before turning enforcement on, and keep the private key and its passphrase backed up somewhere that is not the machine you use it from.
Handle the order before the login. Escrow timers run whether or not you can sign in, and an expiry releases without your involvement. If any channel to the vendor still works, say plainly that access is the problem and ask them to hold. Do not settle privately, because that discards the contract that was protecting you.
